Frequently asked questions

Here you will find answers to questions that we sometimes get.

Certainly, and with emphasis: yes. Training is an important part of our work. We offer a wide program and work together with renowned training institutions. Our training sessions are provided by content very expert trainers. Brenno de Winter has been giving training since the early 1990s and brings that many years of experience into the design and implementation of our training offer.

No, our company is not a detective agency. That does not fit our direct work and would also be contrary to our cooperation with the police - something that explicitly limits the law. Brenno de Winter fulfills several committee functions at the National Police, which requires an independent position.

When criminal work is needed, we call in reliable partners who specialize in it and have the right experience. We ourselves focus on regular studies such as audits, penetration tests, force field analyzes and measurements.

A pen test (penetration test) is a controlled attack on your systems and applications to find vulnerabilities before malicious people do. Our ethical hackers use the same techniques as cyber criminals, but with the aim of improving your security.

In the methodology for information security research with Auditwaard (MiaUW) we have extensively considered a definition led by Mr. V.A. The pous and we came to the next definition:

** “An offensive security survey to be carried out by own staff or third parties, in which it is sought to look for vulnerabilities in one or more secure network and information systems or parts thereof, which can be used to break into these systems and/or that can disrupt the data processing of the investigated organization or otherwise.”

At the Winter Information Solutions we perform Pentests according to the MiaUW methodology, which ensures:

  • reproducible results
  • clear report
  • concrete improvement proposals
  • Compliance with laws and regulations
